Ultimately, I understand that your wedding day is your day. It is definitely not a time to be controlled by a pushy photographer. Rather than allowing proceedings to be directed by the camera, I prefer to observe your wedding. I remain quietly in the background, capturing events as they unfold. Your resulting album will be a collection of pictures of you and your guests as you were on the day - nervous, excited, tearful, happy… dancing!

I photograph spontaneously, aiming to capture atmosphere and emotion as well as details and portraits. I am your eyes for the day and am always honoured to be present.

I am based in Thame, Oxfordshire so many of the weddings I photograph are in the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire region. However, I photograph many weddings in London and travel as far north as Newcastle or the Lake District, Brighton in the South, Suffolk to the East and Belfast to the West!

The nature of the documentary style dictates the coverage you can expect. For most of the weddings I attend I am present all day. I start with the excited bridal preparations and stay with you into the evening for the first dance. This length of time allows me to record a comprehensive story in pictures.

I will spend the majority of this time taking observed photographs. Caught up in the whirlwind of family, friends and celebration, your day will fly by. Inevitably there will be some things you will miss, a look, a kiss, the small details and brief encounters. These are the moments I capture and alongside your own memories they will extend your recollections of the day.

I do however, take some formal group pictures. I understand the importance of these pictures but like to emphasise that the organisation of too many groups can dominate your day and keep you from your guests. I ask for a short list of group pictures and ensure that these are all captured.
